communicating and exploring your experiences

Art Therapy

Compton Care Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy, offering confidential emotional and psychological support. Feelings and thoughts can sometimes be hard to talk about – art therapy offers an alternative way of communicating and exploring your experiences, with support from a qualified art therapist.

Art Therapy will help you with:

  • Coping with loss, change and uncertainty
  • Feelings of anxiety, stress, and depression
  • Relief from emotional and psychological pain
  • Enabling deeply felt experiences to be communicated

You do not need to have experience or skills in art in order to find art therapy helpful. Our art therapist will help you to make use of a range of art materials and support you, as you explore your thoughts and feelings through the images you create.

Our Art Therapy service is available to support Compton patients and their loved ones, and is offered through our Counselling & Support Services Team on an individual or group basis.
