Volunteer With Us
If you visit Compton Hall, a Compton charity shop or pop in and see us at our offices, at some point during your visit you will see or speak to one of our volunteers. Our volunteers carry out a variety of roles, from ensuring that a patient is greeted with a welcoming smile, helping maintain our beautiful gardens or lending a hand in one of our charity shops.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering benefits people from all walks of life and all ages. For those who are just starting in their career, volunteering is a valuable asset on your CV, and for those who are just finishing their career, make that leap into retirement more gradual by volunteering with us. Or for those who may are thinking about a change to their career, or you’re keen to ensure your professional skills can support a good cause and you’re keen to give something back, why not volunteer to see if it’s the right choice for you? You’ll meet new people of all ages and backgrounds and build new friendships.
It is well known that volunteering can help to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety and improve your emotional and physical wellbeing. It can also offer you the chance to take on a challenge and try something new, or to build on your existing skills.
What can I do as a volunteer?
We have a position for everyone who wants to contribute their time to our cause, including desk jobs like working on our reception desks or helping us raise funds, working on your feet at one of our events, or upfront and in person, interacting with patients at our Living Well centre or Inpatient Unit or why not volunteer in one of our support teams, HR, Finance or IT? We appreciate any time you can give us, whether that’s a few hours a month or a few hours a week, your support is always needed!

Your support means we can be there for those who need it most
Are you able to join a Compton Care event, volunteer in one of our Compton Care shops or play our Lottery? Without your continued support, it wouldn’t be possible for us to provide our services, free of charge, to our patients and their loved ones.
