Championing Team Compton

Meet our Ambassadors

Introducing Compton Care's Ambassadors

The role of a Compton Ambassador is for supporters who wish to make a voluntary commitment to Compton Care and use their influence to help champion our vision, mission and values.

Our ambassadors help to increase awareness of our specialist palliative and bereavement support services and seek to engage with the local community, corporate sector and individuals within Compton’s catchment area.

This is a varied and flexible voluntary role, working alongside trustees and senior management, that includes representing Compton Care within their network, attending key briefings and VIP events for the charity and helping where possible to generate vital income to help fund our care for patients with life limiting conditions.

For more information about Compton Care’s ambassador programme, please contact the CEO Office at Compton Care Group Ltd, Compton Hall, 4 Compton Road West, Wolverhampton WV3 9DH, call on 0300 3230250 or email marketing@comptoncare.org.uk.

Ambassador

Brendon Turner

Brendon’s journey with Compton Care is deeply personal. When his father, Lord Bilston, received care following a cancer diagnosis, the compassion and support his family experienced left a lasting impact. Determined to give back, he founded the Lord Bilston Challenge in 2014 – a tough but rewarding endurance event that has since raised an incredible £150,000 for Compton.

As a personal trainer and co-founder of Energize Personal Training, Brendon is passionate about helping others push their limits. Now, as a Compton Care Ambassador, he is dedicated to raising awareness and funds, ensuring more families receive the same specialist care and support that meant so much to his own.

Ambassador

Sumana Ray

Sumana dedicated an incredible 18 years as a trustee of Compton Care before becoming its first-ever Ambassador. A passionate advocate for our volunteers, she actively supports fundraising efforts, always eager to stand alongside the team.

Beyond her ambassadorial role, Sumana brings her love of cooking to Compton Hall and Crumbles, where she enjoys getting involved in the kitchen. She is also a key representative of Compton across the corporate sector and local community, helping to raise vital funds and increase awareness of our work. Her unwavering dedication and enthusiasm make her an invaluable part of the Compton family.
