We are inviting the local community to join our cherished Light up a Life event on Sunday, 7 December 2025 at Compton Hall.

This annual gathering is an opportunity to remember and celebrate, with people encouraged to come together around the Tree of Light, with lights shining in memory of loved ones, and enjoy the seasonal activities and refreshments.

The event will feature a Remembrance Ceremony and a reflection room with photos of loved ones and our book of dedications. You can make a dedication to be included on the day via our website.

There will also be the opportunity to meet and chat with our Clinical and Bereavement Support teams and enjoy a relaxing hand massage from our Complementary Therapy team.

Clare Elwell, Fundraising Manager, said: “We’d love for people to come together at our annual Light up a Life event. The event is open to all and serves as a beautiful symbol of love, hope, and remembrance for those who attend. Join us to celebrate life, share memories, and support Compton Care’s vital work in the community.”

This December, we are expecting to be caring for more than 1,300 people across our range of services, available to those living in Wolverhampton, the Black Country, South Staffs and east Shropshire.

Alongside the event, we have launched our Light up a Life Appeal. We are encouraging people to make a dedication in memory of a loved one and to donate to support our vital work supporting those in need in the local community this Christmas.

Clare continues: “We couldn’t do what we do without the generosity of the local community, and we would like to thank everyone who is able to make a donation for helping us to be there for our patients and their loved ones when they need us most.”

The Light up a Life event is being held at Compton Hall between 12.30 – 2.30pm on Sunday, 7 December. Find out more about how to get involved in Light up a Life.
