Compton Care has launched an exciting new challenge, inviting supporters to trek the iconic Great Wall of China while raising vital funds for people living with life limiting conditions.

The once-in-a-lifetime adventure will see participants explore one of the world’s most breathtaking landmarks, combining physical challenge with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to patients and families supported by Compton Care.

By taking part in the nine-day guided Great Wall trek from 24 April to 2 May 2027, fundraisers will help Compton Care continue providing specialist care, emotional support and vital services to local people when they need it most.

Emily Thompson, Community and Events Manager at Compton Care said “This trek is an incredible opportunity to experience the sheer scale, beauty and history of the Great Wall of China. From dramatic mountain views to ancient stone pathways, every step offers something unforgettable. We’re excited to give people the chance to take on this truly unique challenge while enjoying some of the world’s most breathtaking scenery.

“Challenges like this are about so much more than the adventure itself. Every step taken along the Great Wall will help us support people living with life limiting conditions and their families. We’re incredibly excited to offer this unforgettable experience while raising funds that will have a lasting impact.”

For anyone interested in finding out more about the trek, Compton Care is hosting an information session on 26 January 2025 at Compton Hall, starting at 6pm.
