DonateLast April, our world was shattered when my beloved wife, Sandy, was diagnosed with metastatic bone cancer, secondary breast cancer. This devastating news came just as we were eagerly planning to celebrate our 16th anniversary with a long-awaited ceremony in Greece. During this incredibly challenging time, Compton Care emerged as our beacon of support, offering unwavering care and compassion.
Compton Care’s dedication went far beyond medical treatment. They managed Sandy’s extreme pain and provided emotional support for our entire family, including our children, Beau and Brody. Their holistic approach ensured we never felt alone, even in our darkest moments.
Despite the immense challenges, Sandy’s spirit remained strong. With Compton’s assistance, we fulfilled our dream of a beautiful wedding, complete with a surprise visit from two adorable alpacas—an unforgettable memory I will cherish forever.
Sandy expressed her heartfelt wish for us to give back to Compton Care so others could receive the same compassionate care she did.
To honour Sandy’s memory and give back to Compton Care, I’m embarking on a series of fundraising activities throughout 2024. Each event is a testament to Sandy’s enduring legacy of kindness and generosity. Our goal is to raise £40,000 to mark Sandy’s 40 years of life.

Walking from Wolverhampton to Wirral
Our journey together began in Wolverhampton, but it was on the Wirral where our love truly blossomed in 2007. Sandy adored her hometown and dreamed of walking its paths with our children. To commemorate our shared history and the strength of our bond, I’ll be undertaking the challenge of walking from Wolverhampton to Birkenhead—a 24-hour journey symbolic of our enduring love and commitment.
Climbing Snowdon
On June 2nd, I joined Compton Care and the Wolves Foundation to climb Snowdon at night, reaching the summit at sunrise. Every step was taken in Sandy’s spirit, reflecting her strength and resilience.
Charity Football Match
Sandy was not only my wife but also a devoted mother and an integral part of our community. Together with friends, we took over our son’s football club, creating a tight-knit family team that continues to thrive. In her honour, we will host a charity football match celebrating her love for the game and her enduring legacy.
Skydiving Adventure
Sandy experienced an exhilarating skydive in her youth in America and dreamed of sharing this adventure with our children. In her memory, I will arrange this thrilling experience as soon as possible, keeping her adventurous spirit alive.
