We are delighted to share that the recent Garden Open Day held at Ludstone Hall has raised an incredible £13,000!

Located near Claverley, the Hall is a private family residence not usually open to the public. The popular event – the first since 2019 – took place on Sunday, 4 August, with all proceeds going to Compton.

It was a fun-filled day for all the family, featuring live music, food stalls, antiques, a tombola and lots of other activities to keep visitors entertained, as well as giving them the chance to experience the beautiful grounds and take a tour of the grade one listed building.

Kate Kelly, from the Fundraising team at Compton Care, said: “We are extremely grateful to Steven and the Smith family for hosting the Garden Open Day in support of Compton Care. Thank you to everyone who made it such a big success – from those who donated tombola and raffle prizes, to the entertainment and stall holders, and the community who got behind it to help make it a truly memorable event. Everyone who attended helped to raise much needed funds for the charity, which provides specialist care and support to local families living with life limiting conditions.”

Commenting on the successful event, Steven Smith, owner of the Hall along with siblings Mandy and Sean, added: “We are absolutely delighted to have welcomed so many people along to the Ludstone Hall Garden Open Day, which raised thousands of pounds for an amazing local charity that is very close to our hearts. As a family, we have experienced firsthand the care and compassion of the staff at Compton Care, who really are there to help when you need it most.”
