Specialist palliative and bereavement support provider, Compton Care, is delighted to once again be the charity partner for the Wolverhampton 10K event, taking place on Sunday, 29 March 2026.

The popular event will see thousands of runners of all abilities take to the streets of Wolverhampton. The run starts and finishes at the Molineux stadium, and runners are encouraged to raise funds to help the charity continue providing vital specialist services to people living with life limiting conditions in the local community.

Community and Events Fundraiser, Sally Woods, said: “We are delighted to once again partner with Run for Charity for the Wolverhampton 10K and we have a limited number of FREE places available for those who want to run for #TeamCompton!

“By joining us you’ll be doing more than just completing a race, you’ll be helping us continue to provide vital services to people living with life limiting conditions and their families. Every step you run, and every kilometre ticked off will make a real difference in someone’s life”.

Every year, the charity supports local people living with life limiting conditions through its range of specialist services, including clinical care on its Inpatient Unit. It also supports patients out in the community, providing specialist care in the place they call home. Patients’ families also have access to the charity’s services and specialist bereavement support.

Compton supporter Jo, took on the challenge for the charity last year and said:

“Taking on the Wolverhampton 10K for Compton was an amazing experience!  I wanted to set myself the challenge and at the same time raise funds for a charity which is close to my heart.

“The Compton team were fantastic in the run-up to the event, and the atmosphere on the day was incredible. Running alongside so many people with the same purpose was truly uplifting, and the cheers along the route kept us going. If you’re thinking about it – go for it! I can’t recommend this event enough.”
