Great British Bake Off contestant, Nicky Laceby, has teamed up with Compton Care to launch our first Cuppa for Compton Week this 6 – 13 June, and the whole community is being encouraged to join in!

Cuppa for Compton Week is a chance to come together and raise vital funds to support our vital work providing specialist palliative and bereavement support.

Cuppa for Compton Week starts on Friday 6 June – National Doughnut Day – and ends on Friday 13 June – National Lemon Drizzle Day! To celebrate this, Nicky will be sharing her unique twists on some of these classic recipes via her popular Instagram account, @nickybakesalot

Throughout the week, there will be special offers at Compton Care’s cafes and coffee shops where customers can also take part in a raffle to win a fabulous hamper of signed baking goodies. Nicky will also be judging the Compton Care staff Bake Off.

As well as supporting for Cuppa for Compton, Nicky has been helping the charity for four years, visiting our Inpatient Unit every week with her beloved Pets as Therapy dog, Bracken, who brings joy and comfort to patients and their loved ones. Nicky said:

“I am very happy to be putting my passion for baking into supporting Cuppa for Compton Week.

“Baking is such a wonderful way to bring people together, whether it’s gathering friends and family for afternoon tea, getting colleagues together for a bake sale, or simply treating yourself to coffee and cake for a good cause.”
