Turn ‘Cash into Care’ Challenge!

What could your school turn £52.50* (the cost of a one-hour counselling session) in to?

New for 2021, we're launching a School's ‘Cash into Care’ Accumulator Challenge. Where we challenge you to make as much money as possible from £52.50*, which in turn will provide vital care and support for our patients and their families, here at Compton.

This challenge develops key skills such as budgeting, procurement, sales and marketing whilst building confidence and understanding of money and mathematics. We hope that it will also, encourage creativity, inspire teamwork and develop citizenship skills.

The challenge is completely flexible – you can pitch it at any level you wish and have as many teams or year groups competing as you like. Your whole school can take part or you can create competitions between specific year groups, individual classes or houses. Some ideas to get you started could include:

  • Host a disco, charge for ticket sales, purchase the tuck shop supplies from the £52.50 and donate all proceeds.
  • Use your £52.50 to purchase the ingredients to bake cakes and then sell them in school and donate the proceeds.
  • Purchase Christmas craft materials with your £52.50. Design Christmas shaped baubles and sell them to the students in the school, or ask them to design their own, which can later be hung from your Christmas tree, for everyone to see.

*All that we ask is that you generate at least our original £52.50 back at the end of your fundraising challenge - and that you all have fun taking part in our ‘Cash into Care’ Accumulator Challenge!

There will be prizes for:
• The most money accumulated
• The most innovative accumulator idea

The only question you need to ask yourself is, how much cash can your school generate to turn into care for patients and their families here at Compton?
