What is D of E
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is the world’s leading Youth Achievement Award, offering a voluntary, non-competitive programme of activities for young people. The award helps to develop young people aged between 14 and 25 for life and work, with a focus on team work, responsibility, experiencing new things and developing new and existing skills.
Our D of E programme offers a range of opportunities, allowing you to focus on your own area of interest, or, to explore something completely new. Whether you’re passionate about sports, music, the arts or digital media, we can accommodate your needs.
Volunteering with us as part of your award is beneficial for us both. Future employers will see that you’re dedicated, driven and proactive, even if your volunteering role doesn’t match the industry in which you wish to work. In return, you’ll be helping us to provide the care and support that is vital to all of our patients and their families.
