Lecturer Sonja Crane conducts a study day
Focusing on: Multiple Sclerosis

9:30am - Tuesday 4th February 2020, at Compton Care Learning and Development Centre

Focusing on: Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a multifaceted neurological disorder whose management requires a multidisciplinary team of highly specialised health professionals. The availability of new and sophisticated diagnostic tools and the advent of new treatments has made daily clinical practice even more challenging for those involved in MS patient management.

This ½ day workshop provides a strong foundation of MS knowledge upon which additional specialist knowledge can develop and covers a range of clinical and professional issues relevant to HCPs in both generalist or specialist roles.

It will also cover the practical implications of the NICE clinical guideline 186 in relations to diagnosis, information and support, relapse treatment and management of MS related symptoms and will specifically focus on promoting multi-disciplinary approaches and enhancing care across the Wolverhampton area.

Target Audience:

This workshop is open to Healthcare Professionals in both generalist or specialist roles.

Cost:

Free for Compton Care staff and those who work for the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.

£20 for other attendees (incl. all refreshments and certificate of attendance)

Time:

09:30 – 12:30

Venue:

Compton Care Learning & Development Centre, The Cedars, 39 Compton Road West, Wolverhampton, WV3 9DW.
