“I started visiting the Compton Day Therapies Centre around 12 months ago. I was anxious to come at first, I didn’t know what to expect, but I’m so glad that I came. I was put right at ease from the minute I got picked up.
“I was feeling really rotten at first. I was in a lot of pain but I’ve had treatments and Compton have helped me to come to terms with things.”
Marion has also received support from our social work and complementary therapy teams, and has also made use of our onsite salon by getting her hair and nails done. She also credits Compton with enabling her to socialise and make new friends.
“My sight isn’t very good and so I can’t get involved with drawing and painting, but I like to come here and chat to people.”
She’s also experienced first-hand the care and support that we provide to friends and loved ones, when we cared for her husband both in the home and on our inpatient unit.
“You can’t fault Compton at all. They’ve really helped me, and they’ve offered support to my family members too.
“I was nervous at first, but thanks to Compton, now I feel great!”
