You may have heard the news that plans to develop Wolverhampton’s City Learning Quarter in the Old Hall Street area, led by the City of Wolverhampton Council, are currently underway. These innovative plans aim to draw major business, transport links and employment to the city.
To make way for the new Learning Quarter our Compton Care Garrick Street Superstore must be vacated and so it has been agreed in principle that we will leave the location by 31st March 2019.
We will still retain a presence within the city with our Skinner Street store (located opposite House of Fraser Car Park).
Of course, our main consideration is our shop staff and volunteers and we are in discussions about how the closure will impact on them individually going forward.
We believe this is the right decision for Compton both in terms of financial impact but also in supporting the development of our local community and economy.
We wish to thank our many supporters for their continued custom and donations and we look forward to sharing more information about the future plans for Compton Care retail with you over the coming months.
