Today we celebrated the success of our extraordinary staff team with an inaugural ceremony that recognised their long service, dedication and impact on Compton Care.
The event, which took place at Molineux Stadium, acknowledging the contribution of 26 staff from 9 different departments recognising either 10, 15, 20 or 25 years service.
Staff were presented with a certificate and treated to an afternoon tea overlooking the iconic Wolverhampton Wanderers football pitch.
In her opening speech Chairman Ros Keeton said that our staff are the ‘life blood’ of the organisation. She added “Compton could not deliver the fantastic care it does without the commitment and dedication of our varied staff team”.
Dawn Smith, Healthcare Assistant for the Day Therapies service, received an award for 25 years’ service. She commented: “I have enjoyed every single minute of my working life with Compton Care. I’ve worked with some of the most courageous, stunning and dedicated people you could ever meet, and I am constantly inspired by the patients we support. It’s the patients and the staff that have kept me here for so long.
“Its natural sometimes to have those days when you wake up in the morning and think ‘oh I don’t want to go to work today’. But all it takes is for me to step foot through the door of Compton Hall and see the people and I come alive. In that moment I think I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! I always have a smile on my face and its because of Compton and the amazing people that work here.”
Our sincere thanks and eternal gratitude go to the staff who received awards today and to the rest of our extraordinary team.
