Today we’re launching our Twilight Trail – a brand new event for 2019!
We’re inviting supporters to walk 5.6km around Compton and Tettenhall to help raise funds for people living with complex and incurable conditions.
The event will take place on Saturday 22nd June at 7:30pm, begining with a warm up here at our Cedars site on Compton Road West, before setting off on the trail through the picturesque villages of Compton and Tettenhall. The route then ends back at The Cedars where participants can enjoy refreshments and live entertainment in a lantern lit arena.
Along the way, those who wish to, can call into the historic Compton Hall as dusk begins to fall, to light a candle for someone special and leave a message on a memory wall.
Event organiser Vicki Wootton said: “Our Twilight Trail will be a very special event and is a great excuse to get together with friends, family or colleagues for a beautiful 5km walk around the picturesque villages of Compton and Tettenhall.
“On arrival back at The Cedars, people can enjoy refreshments and light entertainment to celebrate their achievements. Our walkers will also be able to remember the lives of their loved ones whilst helping to support the work of Compton.
“All the money raised from the event will enable us to continue to care for patients and their families living with the effects of complex and incurable illnesses, so we hope lots of people will join us to take part.”
Those who sign up are encouraged to don fairy wings, tutus and come in fancy dress or dress up in bright clothes. There will also be a ‘glitter squad’ on the day to add finishing touches to participants and everyone who takes part will receive a medal, glowstick, and t-shirt.
Online registration for the 2019 Twilight Trail is now open and costs £15 for adults and £8 for children aged 12 and under. Family tickets for two adults and two children are also available at a cost of £40.
We ask that participants aim to raise a minimum sponsorship of £30.
